Pop-up Urban Park
Google for Entrepreneurs Co-work Incubator at Galvanize - TI | San Francisco, California
An influential tech company asked for varying and hyper-localized design concepts that would integrate within existing co-working spaces all over the country. From inspiration to realization, this project’s objective was to transform an interior flexible touch-down space within a co-op company’s multi-use office to live work & play; a working, interior urban park within the heart of the city of San Francisco.
To embrace the concept of the interior urban park, the design language introduced by the bright felt (acoustical material) wall in the adjacent ‘hangout’ room, a graphic wall was created to highlight the parks in the local area. The parks are highlighted within a vector map of the surrounding location of the building in San Francisco with the usage of that same felt material. This drives home the concept that the entire interior is a park in itself.
