A newly constructed residence is taking off. This 108 resident unit, multi-family complex is in tandem with the Angle Lake Rail Station located in SeaTac, Washington and serves our most destination driven residents and SeaTac International Airport friends. Amenities programming and bespoke designs are elevated airport experiences ranging from a First Class Fireside Lounge, a Landing Strip Beverage Bar, boutique Plane Spotting Library, quick hitting Fitness Center, and a Recreational Sky Suite. Inspired by Amelia Earhart’s sky-high, it also serves to bring a different experience in apartment living, by offering a select number of specialty designed units that are for our most travel driven counterparts.

As lead designer, my scope included, but was not limited to: amenity programming, design vision and concepting, space planning, unit development and implementation, design development presentations with fully-specified finishes and furnishings (creating a truly curated, high-end hospitality experience), complete permit construction drawings, custom fabrications and shop drawings, original experiential graphic design, and construction management with onsite walks thru installation for TCO.

In the initial concepting, the story of Amelia was in response to the locale of the community in which it serves, along with the desire to bring an elevated hospitality experience for the community and residents alike to choose Amelia as THE destination. In fact, the branding and design story is what influenced the brand and namesake of the property and that certainly transcended me to the sky.
